Tolu & Ife

The first time Ife noticed Tolu was at a campus Bible study organized by the Young Adults Ministry of RCCG Freedom House at the University of Lethbridge. His attention was caught not only by her beauty but also by the confidence, wisdom, and consistency of her contributions during the discussions. Although he was not actively seeking a relationship at the time, it didn't take long before he was convinced that if he were ever to choose a wife, she would be the one. Their first real interaction came at a community Afro-dance class. A shared love for dance provided the perfect opportunity for Ife to introduce himself, and from their very first conversation, there was an undeniable connection. What began as a simple introduction quickly blossomed into a friendship that felt as though it had existed for years. Over time, they collaborated on projects, shared dreams and aspirations, and whether it was choreographing dances for children or encouraging each other's God-given visions, their friendship grew naturally and effortlessly. As Ife sought counsel from trusted family members, friends, church leaders, and through prayer, every response pointed in the same direction: forward. One day, after a conversation that lingered in his heart, Ife knew he could no longer keep his feelings to himself. What they both didn't realize at the time was that this simple step would mark the beginning of a journey that would last a lifetime.
